This camp will emphasize the understanding and development of basic skills in a fun and enthusiastic learning atmosphere. The first two ice sessions will emphasize the fundamentals of hockey - skating, stickhandling, and passing. The 3rd session will include a scrimmage run by current Gopher players. We will also use video and have a daily off-ice training session.

Pee-Wee and Bantam Camps

These separate camps will concentrate on continued development of basic skills. We will also include more advanced skills, team concepts and checking will be taught. Classroom sessions will reinforce on-ice teaching through lecture and video. All campers will receive 3 on-ice sessions per day. Instruction will include power skating, skills through stations, and small games. The 3rd session will include a scrimmage run by current Gopher players.

Insurance and Medical Treatment

All campers must have their own medical insurance. Each participant must complete the Consent for Participation ande Medical Information Form. Our experienced athletic trainers will treat minor injuries that may occur.

Lunch

There will be no meal provided during camp. Each camper must bring his/her own lunch and snack. We will provide an area for lunch each day.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations are refundable only with medical verification prior to June 1, 2008 (No Exceptions). Lucia Camps reserves the right to change and/or canel camps at any time, in which full refunds will be returned.

What to Bring

All hockey camp SKATERS must provide themselves with all protective equipment:

  • HECC-approved helmet and face mask
  • Shoulder and elbow pads
  • Shin pads and socks
  • Athletic supporter
  • Hockey sticks and skates
  • Protective pants
  • Tennis shoes and off-ice clothing
  • Lunch, drink, and snack

All hockey camp GOALTENDERS must provide themselves with all protecive equipment:

  • HECC-approved helmet and face mask
  • Catching and blocker gloves
  • Arm, shoulder and chest protector
  • Athletic supporter
  • Goaltender stick
  • Goaltender leg pads
  • Protective pants and protective cup
  • Tennis shoes and off-ice clothing
  • Lunch, drink, and snack
